Attached I am sending you the status of implementation of the order given by the General Secretary of the Central Committee of the SED and Chairman of the State Council of the GDR, Comrade Erich Honecker, regarding the delivery of arms and equipments to for the People’s Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.
Please take note. Asking for approval of the measures proposed.

Addition to the Information about the Status of the Operation Ethiopia
(4 April 1988, 22:00 Hours)
Status: 5 April 1966, 14:00 Hours
The MS “Neuhausen” has departed at 2:25 Hours after completion of loading on 5 April 1988 at 01:00 Hours.
A charter aircraft of Ethiopian Airlines has landed on 5 April 1988 at 12:55 on Schönefeld Airport coming in from Amsterdam. Currently 28.5 tons are loaded up and the departure is scheduled for 16:00 Hours.
Another charter aircraft of Ethiopian Airlines has been announced for 5 April 1988 with arrival at 18:00 Hours and departure at 21:00 Hours.
There is no report yet from air traffic control regarding this plane.
The IL 62 from the government fleet will depart on 5 April 1988 at 17:00 Hours with 18.0 tons, the overflight clearances for this flight are all available.
If all flights go as scheduled, by 5 April 1988 at 21:00 Hours 122.3 tons will have been flown out.
