At the [Warsaw] Okęcie Airport, a Brazilian citizen , Jolanta Radziwiłł was arrested when she was trying to leave the country; tens of different pieces of jewelry were found on her that she attempted to export from the country. The exhibition value of the confiscated valuables is reflected in the decision to send them to the National Museum. Radziwiłł is not allowed to leave Poland before the investigation is over. Valente interceded with me on her behalf, warning that the press could find out about it, which would be unpleasant. He added that he was inquired by his colleague from Bonn, who is worried that Radziwiłł cannot leave Poland.
The Public Prosecutor’s Office is checking whether Radziwiłł is associated with some smugglers’ ring. This will take around 10 days. We notify you of this affair in case someone were to intervene with you.
