The Vietnamese Report They Have Issued a Non-Public Protest to the Soviets

 

Ministry of Foreign Affairs:

 

On the 8th of this month, the Vietnamese Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nguyen Co Thach, told Ambassador Zhu that in regards to the incident in which students from Africa, Asia, and Latin America were beaten during their protest in front of the American embassy in Moscow, the Vietnamese have already issued a protest to the Soviet Ministry of Foreign Affairs, though it is internal and will not be made public.

The Chinese Embassy in Hanoi reports that the Vietnamese government has made an approach to the Soviet Union following the suppression of student protests in Moscow.
