On the Issue of Wen Shizhen's Family Returning to China
Premier Zhou [Enlai]:
The cable dated […] was received by the Consular Bureau. The [Chinese] Embassy must replace passports [in order to resolve] the issue of [my] family returning to China. After completing these formalities, [my family] can return home. My wife, son, and three others are in agreement. [I] respectfully request the Premier’s approval and that the Embassy be instructed to assist with disbursement costs. Please give instructions so that [I] may cable family in Mo-Jing [sic].
