First Daily Report on the Activities of the Delegation
Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
The first daily report on the activities of the delegation [is as follows]:
1. April 17th:
1. 10:30AM, Premier and delegation personnel safely reached Bandung.
2. At 12:00 Noon, Prime Minister [Jawaharlal] Nehru and Prime Minister U Nu came to our villa to meet with Premier Zhou [Enlai] and Vice-Premier Chen [Yun].
3. From 3:30PM to 5:30PM in the afternoon, had informal dialogue with delegation heads from various countries in order to discuss conference procedures and conference agendas.
4. From 8PM to 10PM the Indonesian Foreign Minister came to our villa to meet Premier Zhou [Enlai], Vice-Premier Chen [Yun] and myself were present.
2. April 18th:
1. From 9AM to 1:30PM the conference opened, and a meeting consisting of each participating country’s delegation head was held.
2. From 3PM to 6PM in the afternoon, the conference continues
3. 7:30PM Indonesian President Sukarno held a reception and all personnel of every delegation was invited to attend.
3. For the past two days, with the three exceptions of Vietnam, Saudi Arabia and Abyssinia, all other participating country’s delegation head had contact with our delegation head.
4. These past two days, there has been no problem with security in the Bandung city area.
