267. Concerning Xinjiang.

 

Recommend that the governor report to Chiang Kai-shek [Jiang Jieshi] by telegraph that in accordance with his instructions the governor, having carefully trained and armed one regiment, has already moved it to Erlizihe [sic] at the end of December, that he would therefore consider inadvisable to return the regiment, and that he is therefore asking Chiang Kai-shek to permit the regiment to proceed to the designated location.

The Politburo recommends that Sheng Shicai advise Chiang Kai-shek to permit the regiment currently stationed in Erlizihe to proceed to its designated location.
