Rome, February 8th

 

[handwritten] In response to the communication of the Chinese embassy in Paris point out that Minister Nenni has undertaken initiatives to establish normal diplomatic relations with the People’s Republic of China and that he is aware that there is one China alone and hence knows all the ensuing consequences with regard to both Taiwan’s representation in Rome and the Chinese seat at the UN.

 

In response to a note from the Chinese Embassy in Paris, Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pietro Nenni acknowledges that there is only China.
