INFORMATION

ON THE MEETING WITH THE KOREAN AMBASSADOR

Today, at his request, I received the Korean ambassador. He informed me as follows:

I. The Central Committee of the Korean Workers’ Party, has decided that the 5th Congress of the Korean Workers’ Party, be held in Pyongyang on November 2, 1970.

The daily schedule of the proceedings of the congress shall be:

  1. A look at the activity of the Central Committee of the party
  2. A look at the work of the Review Commission of the CC of the Korean Workers’ Party.
  3. On the 6 year plan for the development of the economy of the Democratic Peoples’ Republic of Korea for the period of 1971—1976.
  4. The elections for the central organs of the party.

II. Due to several reasons, the party has decided to not invite any delegations from any parties to attend this congress.

III. It would be desirable that the Albanian Labor Party greet the 5th Congress with a greeting message. A message from your party would serve as encouragement and inspiration in the struggle and work of the Korean people in the construction of socialism and the reunification of our fatherland. That would make us very happy.

“I am convinced,” said the ambassador at the end, “that the friendship and brotherly cooperation relations that exist between our parties and countries based in the principles of Marxism-Leninism and the proletarian internationalism shall be strengthened and developed further in the future.”

I thanked him for the information and told him that I would inform the Central Committee of the party about it.

Piro Bita
