This letter is the response of Nicolae Ceausescu to Wladislaw Gomulka to his letter of January 5th, in which he states that he does not wish to involve Romania in the relations between China and Poland, but requests to be kept informed of the Vietnamese response to the outreach effort of the Warsaw Pact and Asian socialist countries.

Letter from the Central Committee of the Polish United Workers Party to Comrade Nicolae Ceausescu, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party
January 5, 1966
Dear Comrade,
The Central Committee of the Polish United Workers Party has addressed the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party in the problem of convoking, in the near future, a conference of the communist and workers parties of the Warsaw Pact member countries and of the socialist countries of Asia to discuss the coordination of assistance for the Democratic republic of Vietnam and the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam in the struggle against the aggression of the United States of America.
We have annexed a copy of the letter that we have sent regarding this problem to the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. We are convinced that the realization of our proposal will have a great significance for assuring the unity of action of the countries of the socialist camp in the fight against the aggression of the United States of American on the fraternal Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Vietnamese people.
We request the Central Committee of your party to examine the proposal contained in our letter addressed to the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party and to support it. We consider that the support of our initiative by the other parties of the socialist camp will have major importance for the realization of its success.
With Communist Greetings,
Wladislaw Gomulka, Central Committee of the Polish United Workers Party
This letter sent from Wladislaw Gomulka to Nicolae Ceausescu requests Romanian support in the effort to unite the socialist countries of Asia and the Warsaw Pact, through relations with China, to counter United States' aggression in Vietnam in solidarity with the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.
