Letter from the Embassy of Pakistan to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (No. 598-F-198/53)

The Embassy of Pakistan present their compliments to the Ministry of Foreign of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China and have the honour to state that the under-mentioned Pakistani temporary employee in Chini Bagh, Kashgar, intend to leave for Pakistan in the company of Mr. Safdar Ali Khan (Chini Bagh, Kashgar) (who is the subject of a separate note) towards the first week of May 1953:-
a) Sher Ali with his daughter and mother,
b) Abdul Hamid – single
2. The financial position of Messrs. Sher Ali and Abdul Hamid is poor and they cannot afford to engage carriers. The Embassy would be grateful if the Local Administration of Sinkiang [Xinjiang] could be asked to allow them to buy one pack-pony per head.
3. The Embassy of Pakistan avail themselves of this opportunity to renew to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China the assurances of their highest consideration.
The Embassy of Pakistan in China requests support and financial assistance to allow several Pakistani nationals to leave Xinjiang.
