General-Lieutenant of Aviation Sokoloverov (of the Main Staff of Air Defense of the Country) has reported that in the Directive for the Rear for Air Defense of the Country it was stated that the troops being sent have taken food with them – 45 day’s rations.
Tents are being issued to the troops.
The change by Cde. I. Kh. Bagramyan оn the procedure of supplying the troops being sent with the food and tents established by the Directive of the Minister of Defense leads to the following.
1. The Rear of the Armed Forces is stepping back from work on the centralized supply of the troops being sent with food and tents. All the work to create reserves for the voyage is being shifted to the troops, which complicates their work.
2. The delivery of the food and tents from central bases to the troops, and then the transportation of these resources by the troops to the loading ports leads to excessive shipments and wastes of time.
3. It is written in the Directive to create reserves on the ships.
4. If changes to the Directive of the Ministry of Defense are now adopted we need to rework all the instructions to the loading chief at the port, changes in the loading plan, that is, three weeks’ work - rework everything – to rework about the planning.]
