TO KHRUSHCHEV, MOSCOW

Respected Mr. Khrushchev,I would like you to know my personal impression of your settlement of the Cuban crisis. I have never had the opportunity to meet any statesman who has acted with the magnanimity and grandeur that you have displayed in dealing with Cuba, and I want you fully to understand that all sincere and honest people acknowledge your courage.

With unchanged respect,

BERTRAND RUSSELL

Bertrand Russell expressed his admiration for the manner in which Khrushchev dealt with the Cuban Missile Crisis.
