Inter-Parliamentary Conference held in Belgrade (Yugoslavia) in September, 1963 – Resolutions
The last Conference of the Inter-Parliamentary Union was held in Belgrade (Yugoslavia) in September, 1963. An Indian Parliamentary Delegation attended that Conference.
2. A copy of each of the Resolutions on the following subjects adopted by the said Conference is enclosed:-
“Safeguarding Peace:
- The Creation of Denuclearized and Limited Armaments Zones as a First Step towards General and Complete Disarmament.
- After the Moscow Agreement
3. A note on the subject (1) above and comments on the draft Resolution on that subject were sent to this Secretariat by the Ministry of External Affairs (Disarmament Section) vide their U.O. No. A(3)-DISARM/63 dated the 24th August, 1963 for the use of the Indian Delegates.
4. The Ministry of External Affairs may kindly see and furnish notes to this Secretariat stating the position (as on 15-2-1964) in regard to the subject matter of the Resolutions so far as India is concerned.
5. The information is required to be placed before the Executive Committee of the Indian Parliamentary Group and its President (Speaker of Lok Sabha). The gist of the information will, thereafter, be sent to the Inter-Parliamentary Bureau, Geneva.
6. It will be greatly appreciated if the notes could be sent to this Secretariat by the 1st March, 1964.
7. The receipt of this U.O. note may kindly be acknowledged
