1- ISSUE: WAR MATERIAL

 

A shipment of war material coming by ship will soon leave China for Alexandria. The Chinese Embassy in Cairo will communicate the arrival date and the name of the ship, when appropriate. [The embassy] requests confirmation of the agreement of UAR authorities to facilitate the operations.

Magazine for machine gun: US-type [illegible] (9 caliber): 20.000

Magazine for US- type rifle: 15.000

Magazine for machine gun 11.4: 15.000

Shovels: 2.000

Pickaxes: 2.000

Question: Can we deliver these unassembled to facilitate transportation? Answer: Yes.

Dried pepper: 5 tons (do we really need this item?)
