…Pakistan: Pakistan found the proposal [of a nuclear umbrella from the superpowers in line with a the nuclear guarantee proposal put forth by India at the ENDC] completely un-acceptable because she thought it to be inconsistent with the proposal of non-dissemination and denuclearization. It branded it as “a camouflaged plea for assistance form one or two militarily powerful States against a third” and said that those who had wanted it, wanted a price for abstaining from manufacture of nuclear weapons and at the same time wanted to command the sympathy of the smaller powers.
Pakistan refutes a nuclear umbrella from the superpowers because she thought it to be inconsistent with the proposal of non-dissemination and denuclearization.
