Phone Call with the Embassy in the Soviet Union

1) Eleven of the injured Chinese students were taken to the Potemkin Hospital at 11:00pm on the 4th [of March] and nine of them were left there.  Two students suffered the worst of the injuries.  One received injuries to his nose and eyes and had passed out.  The other's eyes had been broken and is not being properly taken care of by the hospital staff. He was given medicine and then sent directly home.  (This student is at a different hospital) He should be hospitalized. Of the other students, one has a broken nose (as proven by X-Ray), and another has a swollen eye. Three of the students have suffered internal injuries.  Nine students are staying at the Potemkin Hospital and some students will go to be checked today.

2) One Chinese student was arrested as a "hoodlum" during which time his chest was beaten to the point of suffering internal injury.  He was arrested around 4:00 and released at 6:30.
