A statement from A.G. Krymov, where he pleas for cancellation of his verdict to a labor camp and to gain permission to serve the Communist cause in either the Soviet Union or China. In March 1938 he was arrested by the NKVD in Moscow and exposed as an enemy of the people.

INFORMATION
Afanasii Gavrilovich Krymov (also Evgenii Kyo, Guo Zhaotang, Ko Saotang, Guo Zhoutao, Zheng Zhitang) was born in 1905 in the city of Shanghai, a Chinese, and a citizen of the USSR. He finished his higher education at the Party History Institute of Red Professors. He is a candidate of history.
He became a member of the CPSU from 1928, a member of the VLKSM from 1927, a member of the communist party of China from 1926, and a member of the Guomindang from 1925.
1918-1919 – a student, an apprentice in a pharmaceutical firm in Shanghai.
1919-1921 – a porter in a pawnshop in the city of Yuyao in the province of Zhejiang.
1921-1928 – a lithography worker in the publishing house of a middle school, “Chongfeng,” simultaneously attends the school, in the city of Yiteng in the province of Zhejiang.
1923-1925 – a worker in the publishing house and simultaneously attends Shanghai University. In 1923 he joins the Union of Socialist Youth of China (which transformed in 1924 to the Chinese Union of Youth of China).
1925-1927 – a student at the Stalin Communist University of Workers of the East, in Moscow.
1927-1928 – on komandirovka [work-related travel] in China for the Chinese Communist Party.
1928-1929 – a scientific worker of the Sun Yatsen Communist University of Laborers of China, in Moscow
1929-1931 – a student in the preparatory division of the Institute of Red Professors, in Moscow.
1931-1934 – a student at the History-Party Institute of Red Professors, in Moscow.
1934-1937 – a political reviewer (referent) of the Eastern Secretariat, and then a referent of the IKKI department of cadres, in the city of Moscow.
1937-1938 – manager of the scientific department of the Scientific Research Institute of National-Colonial Problems, the city of Moscow.
In March 1938 he was arrested by the organs of the MVD USSR and then sentenced for counter-revolutionary activities for 15 years. Until 1953 he was punished in a corrective-labor camp of the MVD. At present he lives in the city of Noril’sk in Krasnoiarsk Region, without the right of departure.
