Number 17/ At 10:00AM, yesterday, a meeting was held at the Soviet News Bureau attended by: Bisranco, Ivanov, Rafiq Kouri, Emily Faris, Thuraya Idra Khateeb, Mary Thabit, Mary Basha Bizian, Wasfi Al-Banna, Hashim Al-Amin, wherein it was decided to send a memo to the Russian writer Ilya Ehrenburg, who arrived in Paris to attend the International Peace Conference [World Conference of Partisans of Peace]. The conference included democratic Arab literary writers and intellectuals in Arab countries grievances over the bad treatment by their governments and banning them from attending the Paris Conference. Ehrenburg was to expose this at the conference in their defense.
Short summary of a meeting at the Soviet News Bureau in Beirut on the "World Congress of Partisans for Peace" organized in Paris by the Soviet-backed World Peace Council.
