Entry into the GDR: 11 March 1983
- identified as an agent of the foreign intelligence service,
- sometimes participating in meetings of the Consul with agents,
- has a high level of decision-making authority,
- masters the German and English language very well,
- before his deployment in the GDR he was Head of the Political Department of the Chinese Embassy in Bonn,
- before joining the diplomatic service, he was for 10 years chief editor of an English-language newspaper in China,
- outside of the embassy he hardly becomes effective in contact activities with GDR contact partners.

- identified as an agent of the foreign intelligence service,
- became active in the context of contact activities immediately after entering the GDR

- conducts intensive contact activities within the diplomatic corps
- shows strong interest in so-called top and party-internal informations,
- masters the German language very well.

- conducts active sounding out vis-a-vis GDR contact partners,
- is in charge of assisting Chinese delegations to the GDR,
- has studied German Language and Literature in the GDR and is known as an expert on our country

- directs recruited agents,
- holds secrets meetings in West Berlin with Chinese living in the GDR and other contact partners who he is treating like agents,
- under cover of an assisting activity, he monitors and sounds out Chinese living in the GDR through visits to their apartments as well as at receptions at the Embassy,
- secretly takes notes about conversations he had with contact partners, - he is in charge of the employees of the Chinese correspondents’ offices in the GDR.

- conducts active contact operations and sounding out, uses his apartment outside of the Embassy for meetings with GDR contact partners, - has taken over GDR contact partners of an identified intelligence agent who in the meantime has returned to China, - has monetary means beyond the usual level,
- has no journalistic training,
- is mostly interested in political issues, he has no solid economic knowledge
- in the 1950s he was an interpreter in the GDR Embassy in Beijing and subsequently an employee of the Chinese Embassy in the GDR.

- gets included by her husband, xxx xxx, in his contact activities; she serves as cover for his talks with GDR contact partners.

- undertakes drives to West Berlin without accompaniments,
- has a close personal relationship with a diplomat from the U.S. Embassy in the GDR who is suspected to be an employee of the CIA,
- there a indications for CIA intelligence activities targeting this individual,
- he is in charge of Chinese abroad living in the GDR as well as of consular issues; he is participating in meetings by the Consul with those type of individuals.

- as xxx of the Consul permanent companion for his meetings in West Berlin, in charge of security of the meetings, acts as a “memory refresher” in meetings and organizes appointments,
- has learned the German language aid the Goethe Institute of the FRG in Austria.

- conducts active contact works with artists and cultural practitioners,

- does speak German very well.

- close contacts with the Military Attaches of Yugoslavia, Romania, the DPRK, Finland, and Sweden in the GDR
- has many contacts with Western mass media in intellectuals in West Berlin,
- close contacts with the Western Military Liaison Missions in West Berlin,
- does frequently drive to West Berlin.

- identified as an agent of the military intelligence service
- supports the intelligence activities of xxx and provides their cover and safety. Among else, he is participating in meetings in West Berlin with representatives of Western Military Missions, in particular those of the United States.
