DECREE OF THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS
20 August 1968
RE: Providing military assistance to Czechoslovak Communist Party and Czechoslovak people
In response to the CSSR party and state officials' request to the USSR and the other allied states for rendering military help to the Czechoslovak people for liquidation of the threat to the existing socialist system in Czechoslovakia, which arose from the counter-revolutionary forces in the country who conspired with enemy powers, and having in mind the existing contractual agreements,
THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS DECREED:
People's Republic of Bulgaria shall participate, together with the Soviet Union and the other Warsaw Pact states, in the operation for providing assistance to the Czechoslovak people in their fight against the Counter-revolution.
The execution of this Decree is assigned to the Minister of National Defense.
