17 February 1958

I took part in the opening and day session of the Supreme People's Assembly. All CC Presidium members were present at the session (they sat on the stage, not in the Presidium, except for Kim Du-bong, who sat among the deputies, and Kim Chang-man, who for some reason also sat among the deputies in the first row).

The session approved the consideration of the following issues:

1. A report about the performance of the state budget for 1956 and about the state budget for 1958.

2. Concerning the session of the USSR Supreme Soviet and the proposal of the Soviet government about lessening international tension and preserving and strengthening peace in the entire world.

3. Concerning the approval of the Decrees of the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly.

Minister of Finance Ri Ju-yeon gave a report on the first issue (the report was published in the press on 18 February).

Puzanov takes part in the Supreme People's Assembly.
