INFORMATION FOR THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC

Subject: Nuclear energy. South Africa.

 

         I convey to Your Excellency, due to the delicate nature of the subject, a copy of the cable by which the Embassy in Bonn informs of a sounding by a South African diplomat with a view to an exchange of information and experiences in the nuclear field between Brazil and South Africa, and the instruction that I sent in replying to that Brazilian Embassy.

The Minister of Foreign Relations, Ramiro Saraiva Guerreiro, asks for instructions from the President of the Republic, João Baptista Figueiredo, in order to reply to a South African proposal of cooperation in the nuclear field.
