Chinese Ambassador to Burma Geng Biao discusses India's Proposal for the Establishment of an Asian-African Armed Forces with the Burmese Foreign Minister

On May 10 [1965], Geng Biao had his monthly meeting with Burmese Foreign Minister U Thi Han, who informed him of his position regarding our recommendation for forming an Asian-African armed forces. He expressed that our Burmese friends would champion justice and that he could see through India’s scheming. They not fall into this [trap]. U expressed that Burma had not been aware of this matter; India had not given Burma any such notification. He asked Geng Bio if the list of ‘20 or more nations’ included China. Geng Biao replied that he did not know who was included on the list.
Burmese Foreign Minister U Thi Han stated that Burma had not been aware of India's proposal on forming an Asian-African armed forces, but Burma would champion justice and see through India's scheming.
