In the morning I informed Kim Il Sung that he should decide himself who will be present from the Korean side at the meeting and conversation with Cde. N. S. Khrushchev.

Kim Il Sung said that besides him Kim Chang-man, Pak Yong-guk, and interpreter Choe Won-sik would be present at the meeting with Cde. N. S. Khrushchev.

Then Kim Il Sung said that today he is thinking of again asking Cde. N. S. Khrushchev to find an opportunity to visit the DPRK this year.

I asked Kim Il Sung, what time does he considers the most desirable for a visit - during the celebrations of the 15^th anniversary of the Liberation of Korea, 15 August, or another time?

Kim Il Sung said that the weather in the middle of August is hot and hardly suitable for a visit and, as he remembers during the celebration of the 10^th anniversary Cde. Aristov, the leader of the delegation, felt bad. In addition, they did not plan to invite government delegations to the celebration of the 15^th anniversary and that if a Soviet government delegation is invited then perhaps a government delegation of China ought to also be invited. But, Kim Il Sung noted, they are not able to cope with handling two delegations - there aren't enough vehicles. Then, after thinking for some time, Kim Il Sung said that a Soviet government delegation alone headed by Cde. N. S. Khrushchev might be invited.

For my part I told Kim Il Sung just one thing: name the time for the visit which you yourself consider the most advisable.

During the day the meeting and a more than 5 ½ hour conversation was held with Cde. N. S. Khrushchev. From our side at the conversation were: myself, CC official B. K. Pimenov, and interpreter D. A. Priyemsky, who satisfactorily handed the translation of Cde. Khrushchev's statements.

In the evening during dinner Kim Il Sung expressed great satisfaction with the meeting and especially the conversation with Cde. N. S. Khrushchev.
