Leaders of the Communist Party in Cyprus held a meeting on the 10 of June in Larnaca, in which it was decided to support the island’s independence and the withdrawal of British and foreign forces from there.
They had sent a copy of these decisions to the Lebanese Communist Party and to the Russian Legation to seek their guaranteed support for these decisions.
The Communist Party in Cyprus decided to support independence for the island.
