Beirut, Jun 18, 1949

Number 93/ Soviet Nationals are continuing their activities. They held a meeting at 6:00 PM the day before yesterday at their club.  This meeting was held all members of this Association.  Mr. Calodomina, the Russian Consulate, also attended.

I have learned that the purpose of the meeting is to organize a party to celebrate Alexnder Pushkin and set up a new committee to seek new elements to join the Association from countries allied to the Soviet Union, what is called Friends of the Soviet Union.  These are Polish, Romanian and Hungarian etc. elements.

Soviet Nationals continue activities in Beirut, including organizing a meeting to celebrate Pushkin and to seek new members of the Friends of the Soviet Union.
