CC CPSU
A representative of the United Command of the Polish Army, Colonel-General Zherebin D.S., reported that Chief of the General Staff of the Czech People's Army Colonel General Ryitirzh, through a military attaché of the PPR in Prague, addressed Chief of the General Staff of the Polish Army Division-General Jaruzelski with a request regarding the possibility of a bilateral meeting for the discussion of questions in connection with the Status of the Warsaw Pact and developing joint proposals on these questions in connection with the Moscow Conference.
Comrade Jaruzelski asks our opinion through comrade Zherebin.
We think it is inadvisable to discuss these questions at this time and that is why we think, on behalf of the Chief of Staff the United Military Forces of the Countries of the Warsaw Pact, to give an appropriate response.
Asking for permission.
