I visited Kim Il Sung, Pak Jeong-ae, Choe Yong-geon, and Pak Geum-cheol and informed them of Cdes. N. S. Khrushchev’s and N. A. Bulganin’s visit to India, Burma, and Afghanistan.

In conversation Kim Il Sung said that the Communist Party of the Soviet Union had taken the initiative on international problems into its hands and had recently successfully solved such problems as the normalization of relations with Yugoslavia, the conclusion of a treaty with Austria, and other things.

He said that the trip of Cdes. N. S. Khrushchev and N. A. Bulganin to India, Burma, and Afghanistan has great importance. We fully agree and support the measures pursued by them during the trip to these countries. This trip plays an especially important role for us because it serves the cause of a further relaxation of international tension and strengthening peace.

He further noted that Nehru actively opposed colonialism and fights for the relaxation of international tension and at the same time, as a nationalist, he fears Communism.

Nam Il was present at the conversation.

I visited the Chinese ambassador, where we arranged for a visit to the headquarters of the Chinese People's Volunteers in the DPRK on 27 January. Ten people from our side will take part in this event.
