Letter from the Embassy of Pakistan to the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (No. 4564-F-198/52.)

The Embassy of Pakistan present their compliments to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China and have the honour to state that it has been reported that two Pakistan nationals named Tilla Khan Akskal and Abdul Kadir Khan resident of Sinkiang [Xinjiang] were taken into custody by the People’s Government of Sinkiang sometime ago and are reported to have died in jail. The Embassy will be grateful if the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China would be so good as to inform the Embassy of the circumstances under which these two Pakistan nationals were taken into custody and whether they infact died in jail and if so whether an enquiry was held into the circumstances of their demise.

 

The Embassy of Pakistan avail themselves of this opportunity of renewing to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Central People’s Government of the People’s Republic of China the assurances of their highest consideration.

The Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing requests information on the deaths of two Pakistani nationals in a Xinjiang prison.
