November 16, 1954.
My Dear U Nu,
I enclose a note which I have prepared on my visit to China and the Indo-China States. This might be of interest to you. I have already spoken to you about some of these matters but a more connected record might prove more helpful in understanding our talks in China.
I shall be going to Djarkarta for the Colombo Powers meeting there. In going there I expect to pass Rangoon. My present intention is to start from Calcutta on the 26th December, halt at Rangoon for refueling on the forenoon of the same day and proceed to Bangkok where I shall spend the night. The next morning, i.e., on the 27th I shall proceed from Bangkok to Djakarta direct, stopping probably at Singapore for refueling.
I do not know what your programme is for going to Djakarta. If it is convenient to you, we could perhaps go to together.
With all good wishes,
(signature)
