According to Chilean Foreign Office contacted telephonically today following countries have recognized new regime:

Brazil, Guatemala, El Salvador, Uruguay, Spain, Mexico, Switzerland, Nicaragua, Denmark, Austria, Uganda, Portugal, Argentina, Paraguay Holy See, France, Peru, Belgium, Great Britain, Malta, Greece, South Africa, Ecuador, Venezuela, German Federal Republic, USA, Jordan, Panama, Haiti, Israel, South Korea, Costa Rica, Finland, Sweden, Turkey, Colombia in order of recognition.

Of these I find that Mexico, Denmark, and Sweden have not acknowledged the note of the Chilean Government but various acts, e.g. invitation to memorial service for King of Sweden have been interpreted by Chileans as recognition and Missions concerned have not protested.

In addition 27 countries mostly in Africa who have not accredited representatives in Santiago are assumed to have tacitly recognized new regime.

Chile has broken off relations with Cuba and North Korea.

Relations have been broken off with Chile by USSR, DRVN, Provisional Revolutionary Government of Vietnam, Bulgaria, Hungary, GDR, and Czech. Yugoslavia has broken off diplomatic relations but maintains consular relations because of the large Yugoslav colonies scattered over different parts of Chile.
