The Polish and Soviet military attachés in North Korea discuss recent developments. Some generals in the DPRK are being purged or demoted for not sufficiently praising and following the experiences of the anti-Japanese partisan movement.

The Northeast Asia Department at the Japanese Foreign Ministry reports on the Korea question at the UN, inter-Korean relations, and political developments inside of the two Koreas.

Song Jin-hwa informs Petrov that he has officially been expelled from the KWP and has lost his position as editor of the journal “Novaya Koreya” [New Korea]. Song lists several reasons for his expulsion, and asks if as a Soviet citizen, he could be allowed to return to the USSR.

The resolution lists the accusations raised against Pak Il-u and his collaborators Jang Si-u, Pak Heon-yeong, and Ri Seung-yeop, and moves to remove Pak from the Korean Workers' Party Central Committee.
