May 1990	Greetings to the International Citizens Congress for a Nuclear Test Ban in Alma-Ata and Semipalatinsk, USSR from Sweden A first person account of the reasons behind a participants participation in the International Citizens Congress for a Nuclear Test Ban. The author writes that the physical deformities caused by nuclear testing, non-violence, and protection of the planet inspire them to fight for a comprehensive test ban.
November 28, 1962	Letter, Chief of the Operations Group in the Port of Baltiysk Vice Admiral Mel'nikov to Comrade S.P. Ivanov, attaching a trip report of the motorship 'Volgoles' A detailed report following the motorship Volgoles from 4 October to 24 November 1962. The report includes information about US overflights and inspections of the motorship. Various shortcomings of the Soviet effort in Cuba are also mentioned.
October 1967	Alva Myrdal, 'New Roads to Disarmament' The author of “New Roads to Disarmament," Alva Myrdal was head of Swedish disarmament policy from 1962 to 1973. In her 1967 paper presented at the Institute of International Affairs in Warsaw, Belgrade, and Zagreb in 1967, Myrdalpositions nuclear disarmament in its broader context and elaborates on her visions of a new world order. She would publicize many of these same thoughts and observations in her 1976 book, The Game of Disarmament. How the United States and Russia Run the Arms Race. In 1982, she received the Nobel Peace Prize for her work on disarmament.
July 30, 1955	Shortened Transcript of the Meeting held by the 2nd Chief Directorate of the KGB attached to the Council of Ministers of the USSR on July 30, 1955 This document is a 61-page transcript of the meeting of the SCD leadership held in Moscow on Saturday, July 30, 1955. The ostensible purpose of the meeting was to discuss the progress report of the regional counterintelligence branch in the Latvian Soviet Socialist Republic (the Second Department of the KGB of the Latvian SSR). However, the meeting went beyond the Latvian case and focused on the discussion of the overall deficiencies of Soviet counterintelligence at that time and the ways to deal with them.
March 22, 1968	Andrei Gromyko, Note to the CPSU CC Andrei Gromyko describes the diplomatic measures he deems necessary to ensure the adherence of influential nations and countries in the Socialist sphere to the NPT. Valuing negotiation and diplomatic conversations between representatives, Gromyko especially seeks to obtain the support of countries who have previously expressed reservations about the treaty.
October 20, 1976	Memorandum, Political Department, Unit I, Utrikesdepartmentet, 'Cabinet Secretary's Conversation with the Ambassador of North Korea' In an unofficial meeting with North Korean Ambassador to Sweden Gil Jae-gyeong, Swedish Cabinet Secretary Sverker Åström notes evidence of North Korean smuggling and suggests that the ambassador voluntarily leave Stockholm with the diplomats involved in order to preserve positive relations between Sweden and North Korea.
October 20, 1976	Cable, Cornell, Swedish Embassy, Pyongyang, to the Cabinet, Stockholm In an urgent message for the Chief of Police, Swedish Charge D'Affairs in Pyongyang Erik Cornell suggests that the North Korean ambassador in Sweden not be declared guilty in the published police report on smuggling by North Korean diplomats. Cornell further suggests that the North Korean ambassador and Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs directly discuss the agreement he reached with the North Korean Deputy Foreign Minister that the ambassador will be recalled quickly should the Swedish government help minimize unfavorable press.
October 20, 1976	Cable, Cornell, Swedish Embassy, Pyongyang, to the Cabinet, Stockholm Swedish Charge D'Affairs in Pyongyang Erik Cornell reports, after a conversation with the country's Deputy Foreign Ministe, that the North Korean government is distancing itself from its diplomats' smuggling and resents the unilateral decisions taken in Copenhagen and Oslo to expel North Korean diplomats. Cornell also notes the vulnerable position of the Swedish Embassy in Pyongyang and urges caution.
October 19, 1976	Utrikesdepartementet Press Department, 'Answer to the Press Questions' The Press Department of the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs writes that the North Korean Ambassador Gil Jae-gyeong met with Political Department head Leif Leifland and adds that the Ministry is waiting for the police investigation into the North Korean smuggling case as well.
