October 1, 1981	Saddam and Senior Iraqi Officials Discussing the Conflict with Iran, Iraqi Targets and Plans, a Recent Attack on the Osirak Reactor, and Various Foreign Countries Meeting of top Iraqi officials to discuss the ongoing war with Iran and Israeli air strikes.
August 26, 1982	Memorandum, Information for the President, 'Trade Promotion. Brazil-Iraq. Economic-Commercial Relations' Memo to President Figueiredo highlighting the 1,000% increase in Brazil-Iraq bilateral trade between 1971 and 1980, but also points to a non-conducive environment for Brazilian companies in Iraq despite their heroic decision to remain there during the war, unlike other foreign companies. Attached to the document we find a draft of a letter from President Figueiredo to his “great and good friend” Saddam Hussein, in which he is seeking Hussein’s solidarity and understanding the necessity to resolve the issues on the bilateral economic agenda.
May 8, 1989	Report on the First Baghdad International Exhibition of Military Technology An East German report on the 1st Baghdad International Exhibition from 28 April to 2 May 1989. The exhibition is an event organized by the committee of the Ministry for Industry and Military Production of the Republic of Iraq. 200 companies from 29 countries in an area of about 31,000 square meters participated in the event in Baghdad. Meanwhile, the GDR hopes to build up its trade relations with Iraq because these relations have severely declined since the outbreak of the Iran-Iraq War.
January 21, 1987	Activities by the Iraqi Embassy to Find Out About Assumed Arms Deals between GDR and Iran Information from a source in the Iraqi Embassy on a meeting to discuss the deteriorating relations between Iraq and East Germany. Iraqi officials are suspicious that East Germany is exporting arms or military equipment to Iran, but so far do not have any conclusive evidence.

September 23, 1986	Annual Report of the Situation in the Iran-Iraq War In the latter half of 1986, the East German Military Attache in Baghdad reports on how the Iran-Iraq War has progressed and where it is going. During the war so far, Iraq's greatest source of imports has been, by far, from the Soviet Union. However, nations like France and Egypt has also been quite helpful.
September 27, 1985	Planned Visit by Iraq Delegation of the Division Chemical Services of the Ministry for National Defense Plan for a visit by a delegation from Iraq's Ministry for National Defense, Division of Chemical Services regarding a training site build by East Germany.
September 11, 1985	Meeting Between the Ambassador of Iran and the East German Minister for National Defense Iranian Ambassador to the GDR Hamed Reza Assefi discusses the nature of the Iran-Iraq War and the East German position in it. East German Minister Hoffman then responds that the GDR's position, though it is to promote peace, is chiefly to resist the NATO arms build-up. The Ambassador also requests military training assistance from Germany.
1989	Meeting between Saddam and Senior Iraqi Officials Discussing the Execution of British Journalist Farzad Bazoft, Modifications to Iraq's Constitution, and an Israeli Attack on Iraq's Nuclear Reactor Transcript of a meeting between Saddam Hussein and his officials to discuss changes to the Iraqi constitution. Also includes discussion about British Journalist Farzad Bazoft who was arrested as an Iranian spy working for Israel and Britain.
