July 2, 1953	Protocol #1 of the Meeting of the Vyshinskii Commission for Drafting a Proposal to the USSR Council of Ministers Pertaining to the GDR This contains resolutions regarding proposals for Soviet aid and planned measures in the GDR for economic policy and development.
July 8, 1953	Report from Maj.-Gen. Sergei Dengin to Vladimir Semyonov, 'On the Situation in the Soviet Sector of Berlin' Sergei Dengin states that a series of strikes are occurring in the Soviet Sector of Berlin, following the East German Uprising. It is reported that GDR inhabitants are generally dissatisfied with the under allocation of food products, steel, electricity, and other resources. Jendretzky has agreed to take measures to improve the supply of resources, strengthen government authority, and control the spread of provocative rumors.
July 9, 1953	Memorandum from Georgi Pushkin to Andrei Vyshinskii Regarding Proposals Made by Semyonov, Sokolovskii, and Yudin This memorandum outlines proposals for measures that should be taken in order to implement a new political course in the GDR, with a focus on economic development and increased standard of living.
July 10, 1953	CIA Information Report, 'Berlin as of 5.00 p.m., 9 July 1953' This CIA report contains an assessment of the situation in East Berlin; while East Sector is relatively quiet, general unrest still exists with strong indications of upcoming workers strikes.
July 1, 1953	Czechoslovak Communist Party Information Bulletin This bulletin contains information regarding the public reception of the GDR government’s response to the events in Berlin. According to the report, most Czechoslovak workers were indifferent to the GDR government response to the uprising, though kulaks, former entrepreneurs, were hopeful for the return of their businesses and free enterprise.

June 23, 1953	Special Report No. 4 of the WUBP in Wroclaw (Poland), Noting the Spread of Rumors about East Germany This report to the Director of Cabinet of the Minister of State Security Section of Information in Warsaw discusses developments and hostile public sentiment throughout the Voivodship of Wroclaw following the East German Uprising.
June 18, 1953	Report from A. Grechko and Tarasov to N.A. Bulganin, 2:30 p.m. The authors state that Berlin was calm, but there were a few demonstrations in some smaller GDR cities. The authors referred to military intelligence information according to which the US 7th Army and the 12th Air Force Army were put on alert in the US zone at 5.30 a.m. on June 18. But the alert state for the 7th Army was canceled after three hours.
