I paid a protocol visit to Bulgarian Ambassador Georgiy Kosto Bogdanov. The Ambassador said that during a visit the Chinese chargé was very talkative, however he did not touch on any contentious issues. In reply to a question about small-scale metallurgy he upheld its advantage, significant, and importance very passionately.
Kosto Bogdanov expressed surprise at the long absence of the Chinese Ambassador in Pyongyang and that in reply to the reason for the Ambassador's absence the chargé d'affaires replied not very convincingly and with a smile that he was in Peking for treatment.
