Amb. No 561 of 22 October 1976
Attached from the Embassy is an article from the daily newspaper Uusi Suomi, informing that the illegal activities taking place in the North Korean embassies in the Nordic countries were uncovered by the intelligence service of the United States, the CIA. According to the newspaper, it was a defector from the North Korean Embassy in Helsinki who informed the CIA about the illegal activities taking place in the embassies. Thereafter, the CIA brought this information to Danish authorities, who then contacted police in the other Nordic countries.
