Dinner Given by Marshal J.V. Stalin in Honour of the Command of the Polish Army

In connection with the transformation of the Polish Army Corps into a Polish Army, Marshal J.V. Stalin, Chairman of the State Committee of Defence, gave a dinner in the Kremlin on 16 March in honour of the Command of the Polish Army on the territory of the U.S.S.R.

There were present at the dinner: Lieutenant-General Z.M. Berlin, Commander-in-Chief of the Polish Army, Major-General K.K. Swierczewski, Major-General B.I. Poltorzycki, Major-General B.A. Keniewicz, Major-General V.M. Bewziuk, Major-General A.F. Siwicki, Colonel S.S. Galicki, Colonel L.A. Bukojemski, Colonel I.I. Mezican, Colonel A.S. Modzolewski, Colonel K.A. Babjan, Lieutenant- Colonel A.L. Zawadski, Lieutenant- Colonel I.G. Gawronski, Lieutenant- Colonel J.A. Prawin, Major M.Z. Metkowski, Captain E.I. Ochab.

There were present at the dinner from the Union of Polish Patriots: A.V.Witos, B.R. Drobner, Academician J.O. Parnas, Professor L.B. Chwistek, S.K. Jedrychowski, J.Y. Sztachelski, S.O. Skrzeszewski, S.F. Radkiewicz, J.I. Berman, E.L. Sommerstein. W.L. Wassilewska, President of the Union of Polish Patriots, was unable to attend through ill health.

There were present on the Soviet side: V.M. Molotov, Marshal K.E. Voroshilov, A.I. Mikoyan, L.M. Kaganovitch, G.M. Malenkov, L.P. Beria, A.S. Shcherbakov, N.A. Voznesensky, Marshal of the Air Force A.E. Golovanov, Marshal of Tank Troops Y.N. Fedorenko, Army General A.V. Khrulev, Army General A.I. Antonov, Colonel-General F.I. Golikov, Colonel-General of the Air Force A.V. Nikitin, Commissar of State Security G.S. Zhukov.

The dinner was held in an atmosphere of Soviet-Polish friendship and comradeship.
