Our Delegation’s Activities on [April] 24
Ministry of Foreign Affairs:
On the 24th, the meeting continues without consensus from 8AM within the Draft Resolution Committee due to the question of colonial dependencies. The later proposed question of furthering world peace was added to the agenda of the Draft Resolution Committee. The Draft Resolution Committee on the question of furthering world peace convened at 8AM, and the meeting ended at 4 in the afternoon. The meeting of the delegation heads convened at 4 in the afternoon until 5:30 passing the two resolutions mentioned above. Each country’s delegation approved the joint-communiqué at the general assembly which lasted from 6:30PM to 9:40PM. After the passage of the joint-communiqué, the [Bandung] conference was declared to have reached closure. At 10PM, the five convoking countries originally of the Kuala Lumpur conference invited each delegation to attend a state banquet. At 11PM, India’s R. N. Kao? came to discuss the issue of the Indian plane crash. At 12:30 at night, Premier [Zhou Enlai] conversed with comrade Pham Van Dong.
