Secretary Malenkov reports that M.I. Ivanova's dissertation about the activities of the Iranian Communist Party contained decisions which are "misleading and distort the character and meaning of a number of the most important political events and issues"

Resolution of the CC of the People's Party of Iran of 1 March 1957 Regarding the Events of February 1949

Following Naser Fakhr Arai's attempt to kill the Shah in February 1949, the People's Party of Iran faced accusations that it had a direct role in the assassination attempt. The NPI denied any direct role, however contends that executive committee member Kyanuri and Party official Argani were connected in the capacity that they were aware of it. The resolution seeks to explain their character of connection and their degree of responsibility.

Resolution of the CC of the People's Party of Iran about Some Mistaken and Blanquist Decisions of the NPI Leadership

This resolution addresses the People's Party of Iran's actions regarding the Party's mistakes after the August 1953 coup. Some members of the party went through with partisan raids and seizures when that was no longer the plan, as well as with the distribution of leaflets titled "Announcement of Danger." The explanation given by the NPI was that although the party supports violent measures when necessary and approved by the masses, the decisions made in this instance by the executive committee did not have the support of the masses, and therefore were flawed.

Letter to the CPSU Central Committee, Request to Give Hekmat Assistance in Finding Work

The letter is a request from Iranian political émigré Hekmat to the CPSU CC to give him assistance in finding work in [his] field. Also includes a recommendation for Hemkat.

Letter to the CPSU Central Committee, Request for Material Aid to Amirkhizi of the People's Party of Iran

This note requests the CPSU Central Committee to give 1800 rubles a month to Amirkhizi, a member of the CC of the People's Party of Iran, until permanent work is found for him. Handwritten note at the bottom of the page confirms he received assistance.

Soviet Translation, 'Statement of the Iran Party Regarding the Bill to Receive a Loan from Foreign Countries' (Attachment)

The Iran Party's statement is critical of the recent loans made to Iran by the Americans and the British, which it believes will leave Iran indebted to countries that just want to exploit the people and resources of Iran. Also includes various Iranian trade figures.

Soviet Translation, Letter, 'To the Press Department for Transmission to the International Bureau of Communist Parties' (Attachment)

This letter describes the failure of the People's Party of Iran to act upon an opportunity to defeat the Shah's forces in Iran, and elaborates on what caused this lack of success. At the end, the People's Party of Iran appeals to other communist parties to get involved in helping them.

This open letter is written by the Central Committee of the People's Party of Iran in order to convince the Central Committee of the National Resistance Movement to create an alliance with them against the anti-colonial forces of Iran and defend the freedom and independence of the country.

This is a summary of articles found in the "Mardom" newspaper, which was published illegally in Iran by the underground communist Tudeh (People's) Party of Iran. This issue criticized the Shah's cooperation with the Americans and the British, as well as recent agreements regarding financial and border between Iran and the Soviet Union, creating what is said to be the basis of a friendship between the two countries.
