January 9, 1986	Meeting between the International Olympic Committee President and the ROK’s National Olympic Committee on North Korea’s Participation in the 1988 Olympic games Notes on an informal meeting between IOC President Samaranch and members of South Korea's Olympic Committee. They discussed the issue of whether or not North Korea would participate in the upcoming 1988 Summer Olympics. The group discussed sports that could possibly be given to the North Korean side to organize, whether or not North and South Korea would compete as a unified team, and plans for the next meeting between the IOC and the Olympic Committees for North and South Korea.
