September 14, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Rabin on Monday, 14 September 1992 Kohl and Rabin discuss the situation in the Near and Middle East and the changed in Syria's position toward Israel after the demise of the Soviet Union. Rabin expresses concern about the continued arms race in the region and Syria's purchases of Scud missiles from Russia and Slovakia. He also reiterates Iraq's continued capability to go nuclear within 5 to 6 years despite international arms control inspections. Last but not least, Kohl and Rabin discuss the situation in Iran and Kohl's contacts with President Rafsandjani.
July 13, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with French President Mitterrand on 7 July 1992 in Munich Kohl and Mitterrand look into issues of nuclear power plant safety in the former Soviet Union as a key theme on the agenda of the World Economis Summit in Munich. Both complain about American and Japanese reluctance to agree on the establishment of a joint G-7 fund in this field.
July 6, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with U.S. President Bush over Breakfast at the Hotel Four Seasons in Munich on Monday, 6 July 1992 Bush reports about his recent conversation with Mitterrand on the establishmet of the Eurocorps and NATO's European pillar. Kohl thinks that U.S. concerns over the Eurocorps were exaggarated reiterating that the Federal Repubic wanted a continued U.S. military presence in Germany and Europe. Bush complains about French reluctance to expand NATO's functions including out-of-area missions.
June 30, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with French President Mitterrand over Breakfast on Saturday, 27 June 1992 Mitterrand emphasizes that Yugoslavia could turn into "a second Vietnam” in case of a Western military intervention. He questions the rational of U.S. and British policy in the Balkans and rejects France's military involvement. Kohl rules out Germany's participation in military operations.
April 1, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with Polish President Walesa on Tuesday, 31 March 1992 Kohl and Walesa talk about Poland's eagerness for EC membership and their shared irritation about general Western reservation in terms of EC enlargement. They discuss the desire of the Visegrad countries for NATO membership. Kohl reiterates his aim to to have a relationship with Poland that was similar to the German friendship with France.
March 23, 1993	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meetings at Camp David on 21/22 March at Camp David Kohl and Bush discuss GATT, trade, European integration, NATO and the U.S. miiltary presence in Germany. They look into financial aid for Russia and Yeltsin's participation in the 1992 World Econmic Summit.
March 4, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with Czechoslovakian President Havel at Lany Castle, Thursday, 27 February 1992 Kohl and Havel discuss European integration, EC enlargement and the CSSR's association with the EC. They review plans for the establishment of a foundation for the compensation of concentration camp victims. Moreover, they look into possibilities of German business investment in the CSSR.
February 13, 1991	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Conversation with the President of the Lithuanian Parliament Landsbergis on Thursday, 13 February 1992 Kohl and Landsbergis consult on developments in Lithuania and on the problem of "Soviet" troop withdrawals from the country. They review Lithuanian plans for the construction of an oil pipeline from Klaipeda on the Baltic Sea in order to be less dependent from Russian supplies.
February 4, 1992	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Conversation with the President of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, Tuesday, 4 February 1992 Kohl and Kravchuk discuss Ukraine-Russia relations and problems within the newly established Commonwealth of Independent States. They review the prospects for the dismantlement of nuclear and chemical weapons in Ukraine.
December 9, 1991	The Chancellor's [Helmut Kohl's] Meeting with Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Thursday, 6 December 1991 Kohl and Tudman examine the situation in the Yugoslavia War and the state of EC sanctions against Yugoslavia. They discuss Germany's forthcoming recognition of Croatia. In addition, they review the correlation of military forces between Croatia and the Yugoslavian People's Army.
